Antique Persian Bilverdi Heriz rug with an expressive tribal Serapi style in glowing naturally dyed colors and lustrous mountain wool. The main ground is a gorgeous sunset red emblazoned with a star shaped pale gold medallion, while the corners are bathed in water-like French blue. There is a whimsy to the artwork that conveys the essence of the natural world.

Origin: Bilverdi village (Heriz County), East Azerbaijan Province
Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a cotton and wool foundation. Natural dyes.
Condition: Good condition with low lustrous pile over most of the rug and a little scattered light wear. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
