Antique Mahal Sultanabad rug with an expressive Art Deco design in an unusually sophisticated color palette of sunrise and sunset tones on shimmery deep blue ground. Classical, with a bit of drama.

Age: Woven in date of 1337 hijri = 1919
Origin: Mahal Arak, Markazi Province Western Iran
Materials: Hand knotted hand spun wool pile on a cotton foundation.
Condition: Good condition overall with soft lustrous low pile with some small areas of strong wear. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
