Semi antique runner from the western region of Iran with an exceptional tribal design in glorious colors from natural dyes. The captivating artwork is of Kurdish origin with its highly stylized zoomorphic and botanical motifs. Colors are subtly variegated and include navy blue, denim blue, coral pink, sage green, lemon yellow, coffee bean, apricot, fawn, pale sky blue, madder red, burnt umber, and cream. This rare find was hand knotted using soft lustrous hand spun wool and is in a remarkable state of preservation.

Origin: Kurdish Hamadan or Kermanshah, Western Iran
Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a wool and cotton foundation. Natural dyes.
Condition: Excellent condition overall with soft lustrous low pile over the whole rug. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
