Antique Turkish Oushak rug with a stunning large scale design based on early Harshang and dragon motifs. The dramatic power of the bold elements is countered by soft, almost pastel, tones of French blue, sea green, light mulberry, cloud blue, black, and cream. A lustrous tan background gives the motifs the impression of floating in space. A rare find in wonderful condition.

Materials: Hand knotted hand spun wool pile on a wool foundation. Natural dyes.
Condition: Excellent condition overall with soft fleecy pile over most of the rug, and some localized areas of lower pile. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
