Antique Serapi rug with a majestic castle impression in softly glowing time burnished colors. The main ground is a rich rust contrasted with a show stopping borders and unique cornerpieces in denim blue. Large stylized blossom motifs are spaciously arranged on the rust in sea green, salmon, milk chocolate, blue topaz, navy blue, and cream. The dramatic shield palmette border steals the show though, with its rare drawing and liberal use of pistachio green. The majesty of an authentic Serapi is timeless.

Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a cotton foundation. Natural dyes.

Condition: Good/used/distressed condition with evenly low pile and areas of wear mainly in the center of the rug. Ends and sides are in good shape. There are no holes. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
