Antique Persian Heriz Karaja Serapi rug in the iconic form with a large superimposed quadrant medallion in midnight blue and ivory on a terracotta rust ground. The surrounding botanical motifs and Herati border are uncluttered and drawn with the characteristic primal charm of Serapi rugs. Soft earthy colors are the theme. In addition to the main terracotta rust, blackish blue, and ivory, the weavers used cerulean blue, muted salmon, coffee bean, midnight green, and teal blue. It’s the art of quiet power.

Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a cotton foundation. Natural dyes.
Condition: Good condition overall with lustrous low pile and also scattered areas showing wear and use. A few small stains. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
