Antique Tabriz rug of the very finest quality featuring a highly detailed rendition of the Zir Khaki design. Zir Khaki roughly translates to buried treasure or relic, and here we have a woven treasure depicting ancient ceramics and other artifacts amid stylized botanicals. The center holds a Dervish Kashkul alms bowl in exceptional detail. Vases and urns each with their unique inlay of birds and exotic animals represent the rich history, beauty, and mythology of ancient Iran. Between the vessels are four palmette shaped cartouche each with peaceful scenes of nature. May contemplation lead to deep appreciation.
