Antique North Persian village rug with a lustrous French blue ground showing an expansive water garden pattern surrounded by a bold cream border. The naturally dyed colors are outstanding and include terracotta, coral, pistachio green, dusty mauve, apricot, rose pink, navy blue, chocolate brown, and more.

Age: 1930
Origin: Area between Zanjan and Saveh, Northern Persia
Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a cotton and wool foundation. Natural dyes.
Condition: Good condition overall with lustrous medium-low pile over most of the rug. A few tiny spots of old moth damage. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
