Antique Heriz Rug 4'10"x5'10" Geometric Beauty in Terracotta
Antique Heriz Rug 4'10"x5'10" Geometric Beauty in Terracotta
Rug No. 40655
Antique Heriz from a rare group of rugs based on designs borrowed from their northwestern neighbors of Transcaucasia. This particular piece is a lovely rendition of the Karachov Kazak design found in Armenia in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Two large slaty-denim blue octagonal motifs float on a light terracotta ground with blossom cartouches arranged all around. It is a playful effect in a soft color rhythm of pastel pink, camel, seafoam, pale bird egg blue, and tiny pops of forest green.
