Antique Baluch tribal rug with a sparkling arrangement of blossom filled diamonds forming diagonal stripes defined by color. Exquisite naturally dyed colors consisting of cinnabar red, dusty purple, shimmery navy blue, walnut brown, and cream. The end skirts are exquisite.

Age: 1900-1920
Origin: Khorasan, Northeast Persia
Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a wool foundation, natural dyes.
Condition: Excellent condition overall with even lustrous low pile. Typical of Baluch rugs, the brown has become etched over time creating a beautiful embossed effect. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
