Antique Persian Karadja/Karaja/Karajeh runner rug with nine shield-like medallions on a soft coral ground. The main border is a beautiful shade of navy blue with rarely seen cream minor borders. Accents include lots of cornflower blue and pops of jade green, turquoise, tan, walnut, and maroon.
Size: 3’0”x15’2”
Age: Dated 1347 Hijri = 1929
Origin: Karadja, Northwest Persia
Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a cotton foundation.
Condition: Good condition overall with lustrous low pile and touches of wear. Nice age patina. Ready to enjoy.
