Vintage Turkmen Tekke tribal rug in a familiar pattern, having four columns of twelve Tekke guls on a variegated purple tinged brick red ground. Accent colors are deep teal, coral-red, forest green, navy blue, red clay, dusty rose, walnut, and cream. The subtle coloration and fine pattern is suited equally to modern and traditional interiors. Finely hand knotted with a supple fleecy blanket-like handle.

Age: Mid 20th Century or earlier
Origin: West Turkmenistan or NE Iran
Materials: Hand knotted handspun wool pile on a wool foundation.
Condition: Excellent condition overall with glossy pile over most of the rug. Ready to enjoy and suitable for normal everyday use. Professionally hand washed.
