A superb antique Heriz Serapi rug spaciously arranged with large colorful blossoms and serrated leaves on a desirable navy blue ground. This connoisseur level Heriz was hand knotted in the 1900-1910 period using lustrous hand spun mountain wool and the very best vegetable dyes. The colorway is rich and vibrant in skillfully balanced tones of sea green, yellow gold, salmon/coral, burnt red, sky blue, baby blue, and dark brown. The condition is full pile collector quality.
