An exemplary antique Karaja rug with a large scale stylized view of the centuries old Shah Abbas blossom palmette design representative of formal water gardens. The deep navy blue-black ground silhouettes the botanical motifs in teal green, madder red, raisin, Persian blue, pale gold, butter, and coral. The squarish shape is as much a rarity as the bold artwork and harmonious color display.
