Antique Persian Mahal Sultanabad rug with a glorious display of stylized botanicals on an abrashed dark blue ground framed by a sunset red palmette and oak leaf border. The naturally dyed colors have the sparkle and depth we look for in the best antique examples. Lots of lustrous forest green, pops of baby blue, pale gold, salmon, slate blue, tan, and cream, provide a rich colorplay. A first class Mahal in such impeccable condition is a rare find.
